Joint patrolling in bordering areas of Bihar and UP

Bagha, Sep 10 (UNI) Bihar and Uttar Pradesh police today started a joint patrolling session in their bordering areas to curb the spurt in crime in the region.

Police Superintendent Ram Narayan Singh said here that the decision for joint patrolling was taken in a recent meeting at Padrauna in Gorakhpur district with the DIG of Gorakhpur range.

'' We have taken a joint decision for the safety and security of the people living in the bordering areas, and better coordination among the policemen of both states, '' Mr Singh added.

Mr Singh informed that the list of dreaded dacoits were also exchanged during the meeting.

He said the joint patrolling was launched following the killing of four farmers during the past two days in the area.
