JK: Infiltration bid foiled, 4 militants killed

Srinagar, Sep 10: Troops foiled yet another major infiltration bid when they gunned down four heavily armed militants in Baramulla sector early this morning.

Yesterday troops killed four Pak infiltrators in Machil sector.

A defence ministry spokesman said, troops guarding border area, noticed a group of militants infiltrating from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) early this morning under the cover of darkness.

When challenged and asked to surrender, the militants opened fire.

Troops retaliated and in the fierce encounter four militants were killed.

He said searches in the area was still going on.
