HDFC launches 'Visa Signature Credit Card'

Bangalore, Sep 10 (UNI) Catering to the growing affluent community in the country, the HDFC Bank today launched a super premium 'Visa Signature Credit Card for its high-end customers.

The credit card aimed to fulfill the financial and travel needs of its millionaire customers besides complementing their discerning lifestyle.

Talking to newspersons after the launch, HDFC Bank Country Head for Retail Assets and Credit, Pralay Mondal said the bank was targeting at around one per cent of its 3.5 million credit card holders.

The credit card business of the Bank was growing at a rapid pace of around 40 per cent annually, he said adding currently over 58 million credit cards were in circulation in the country with ten per cent of them catering to the premium segment.

''With the increase in the number of Indian millionaires, the aspirations of our customers have become truly global and they are constantly seeking products, which give them preferential access to services and benefits,'' he said adding the new card was best suited to address all needs of the elite Indian customers.

The privileges of HDFC Bank Visa Signature Credit Card, included special offer on HDFC Bank auto loans, loans against shares, demat and foreign exchange products, access to over 500 airport lounges across the world, priority bookings and discounted access to the best golf courses in the country.

Other benefits, included accelerated rewards programme, priority booking and discounts at over 28,000 hotels worldwide and Rs 1.5 crore accident cover.
