Govt neglecting Kasom Khullen: Thotasheng

Imphal, Sep 10 (UNI) Chairman of the Kasom Khullen Sub Division Development Association Thotasheng has alleged that the government has entirely neglected the people of the sub-division.

The Chairman said the people of Kasom Khullen sub division of Ukhrul district were not getting electricity and food for the past few years.

Electricity is a big problem and due to the distance of the sub division from the district headquarters, the faulty lines were never repaired and the people continue to live without power for ages.

"Essential items are also a matter of concern," he said.

"Kerosene quota has not been coming to the sub division though the neighbouring sub divisions were getting their full quota," Mr Thotasheng said.

The people of the area went to Imphal to lift their quota but it could not be done as all quotas had to be lifted from the district headquarter.

He urged the government to do something to help the people.
