Five died in accident in Uttarakhand

Dehradun, Sept 10 (UNI) Five people were killed and three others injured when a truck fell into a deep gorge at Chamoli district of Uttarakhand today.

According to the Chamoli District Magistrate, D S Gabriyal, the mishap occurred around 0100 hrs near Suraitota 70 km away from the Chamoli district headquarter, when the border organisation truck, carrying BRO labourers, fell into a deep gorge killing five people on the spot and injuring three.

The injured had been admitted to the Joshimath Primary Health Centre, Mr Gabriyal said.
