New Delhi, Sep 10 (UNI) The Delhi High Court will look into the case diary of the Delhi Police relating to the alleged sting operation in which a news channel reporter fabricated a false prostitution racket involving a student and a teacher.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice M K Sharma and Justice Sanjiv Khanna directed the Delhi Police to produce the entire case diary relating to the alleged sting operation by September 12, the next date of hearing.

The direction came after amicus curiae A S Chandiok submitted that the entire investigation done by the Delhi Police should be examined in wake of the serious allegation levelled against the reporter of the TV channel.

The court had earlier on Friday issued suo motu notice after media reported that the alleged prostitution racket was a fake one.

The Delhi Police have already arrested the reporter Prakash Singh who has been recently remanded to judicial custody along with another girl who the reporter had described as a student.

After the sting operation was aired on TV, the teacher Uma Khurana was arrested and during the investigation it transpired that the entire case was a fake one.

The investigation revealed that the girl who posed as a victim was neither a student of the school, nor a prostitute but was made instrumental in fabricating the story.
