Businessman shot at, car taken away

New Delhi, Sept 10 (UNI) A 50-year-old businessman was shot at and his car taken away in Peeragarhi area of West Delhi early this morning.

The condition of Vivek Kumar, who was rushed to the Jaipur Golden Hospital, is said to be critical, said the police.

Kumar, a businessman, was waylaid by two motorcycle-borne men at about 0730 hrs while he was returning from a Paschim Vihar school, where his wife is a teacher.

After stopping the car, they fired at him, pulled him out of the car, and sped away with the vehicle.

The assailants left the motorcycle behind, which the police believe would also have been stolen.

No arrests were made till late in the evening, police added.
