BSNL not to enter Mumbai, Delhi: Government
New Delhi, Sept 10 (UNI) The Government today clarified that state-owned telecom company BSNL will not offer services in Mumbai and Delhi which is currently operated by MTNL.
In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Communication Shakeel Ahmad said that the current guidelines for issue of unified access services licence (UASL), do not permit the country's largest telecom company to offer its services in the two metros.
BSNL had applied for grant UASL licence for operating fixed and mobile service in Delhi and Mumbai.
