Body of plane mishap victim given to relatives

Chennai, Sep 10 (UNI) The body of Mohammad Safir who was killed in an airplane crash at Bangalore on Saturday was brought here today.

Chennai Airport officials said Safir's body, which was brought by a regular flight, was handed over to his family members at the airport.

Safir (22), a student of Chennai Flying Club, was in the P-68C four-seater Turboprop Aircraft along with three others when it crashed into a marshy lake minutes after take off from the HAL Airport.

The plane was chartered by Kerala-based Joy Alukkas Private Limited.

The aircraft was on its way to Kochi to pick up company Managing Director Joy Alukkas, who had planned to fly to Thiruvanantapuram and some places in Tamil Nadu yesterday.
