Arrested Bangladeshi woman student brought to TN college; grilled
Vellore, Tamil Nadu, Sep 10 (UNI) The Special Investigation Team of the Andhra Pradesh police today brought Bangladeshi student Shahi Rafsanjani, arrested in connection with the August 25 Hyderabad twin blasts, here for further investigation.
Rafsanjani was taken to Auxilium College at Katpadi, where she was pursuing a degree course by the police team amidst tight security, after arriving in a car at around 1130 hrs.
The officials questioned college Assistant Principal Josephine Anto whether the English Literature student had showed her passport and visa to the college authorities at the time of admission. They also sought details about Rafsanjani's attendance in college.
Her friend in college, Ashmitha, was also grilled.
The police team also searched the house at Gopalapuram near the college where she used to live with her brother on rent.
However, after the interrogation that lasted for over an hour, the Andhra Pradesh police team refused to divulge any details to waiting newspersons.
It was said that Rafsanjani had joined the college as her father Jainullabdin was undergoing treatment at the CMC Hospital here. She had reportedly changed her residence eight times following her affair with one Wasim.
The Andhra Pradesh police officials informed their counterparts here that Rafsanjani was taken into custody for staying without a valid passport and visa.
