APCC President K Keshava Rao offers to resign
Hyderabad, Sep 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President K Keshava Rao today offered to resign from his post to ensure what he called ''free investigation to unravel truth'' after a realtor was allegedly shot dead at his son's Jubilee Hills residence here yesterday.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Rao said he would seek AICC President Sonia Gandhi's permission, whom he is scheduled to meet later in the day, to relinquish his post as the APCC President.
He said he was offering to resign to ensure free and fair investigation to bring out the truth and avoid any possible criticism that he would unduly influence the investigation.
The 32-year-old realtor Prashanth Reddy, a close friend of APCC President's son Venkat, received severe bullet injuries at Venkat's house and died on the way to a corporate hospital.
