JK: 3 Mahila CRPF personnel injured in blast

Srinagar, Sep 10: Hours before the arrival of UPA chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi militants triggered a improvised Explosive Device (IED) the down town area causing injuries to three CRPF Women constables today.

A CRPF spokesman said that militants detonated an IED at Kathi-darwaza Rainawari when a vehicle carrying Mahila CRPF personnels to the central jail was passing through the area.

He said three personnel were injured in the blast.

A massive hunt has been launched in the area to nab the militants responsible for the blast, he added.

The UPA Chairperson is arriving here today to address a women's conference at Sher-I-Kashmir International Convention Complex (SKICC) on the banks of the famous Dal Lake.
