20 lakh families get work under EGS

Bhopal, Sep 10 (UNI) More than 20 lakh families in Madhya Pradesh have been provided employment opportunities under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme during April-July this year, the government claimed today.

A total of Rs 786 crore was spent on 29,038 works during the first four months of this fiscal, an official release said.

NREGS was being carried out in 18 districts under first phase since 2006 and in another 13 districts since April this year.
