''To voice our protests, we will hold a one hour silent protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Demonstrations will also be held in Chennai, Ranchi, Indore, Chandigarh and Bangalore tomorrow,''Swami Agnivesh said.

''Frequent disruptions in Parliament are derailing its functioning and defeating the purpose of its very existence. In a way it is paving way for dictatorship in the country,''he stated.

He said a day's disruption was causing loss of Rs 90 crore to the exchequer. Besides, many legislations like the one on the unorganised labourers are getting delayed.

Swami Agtnivesh added that they would also send a memorandum to President Pratibha Patil voicing the anguish of the common man at the frequent disruptions in Parliament which was delaying several important legislations.

The memorandum says that Parliament is the temple of our Democracy and ensuring its smooth functioning is our solemn duty.
