Nothing wrong if Advani wishes to become PM candidate of BJP
Patna, Sep 09 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Digvijay Singh today said there was nothing wrong if senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani wanted to be projected as Prime Ministerial candidate of the BJP in next Lok Sabha polls.
To a query in this regard, Mr Singh told newspersons here that in a democratic set up everyone has the right to strive for fulfilment of his wishes.
He said, "there was nothing wrong if Mr Advani wanted himself to be projected as a candidate for the post of Prime Minister." Mr Singh said it would be improper to comment on the internal matters of any party. He also added that Mr Adwani was a senior leader of the BJP.
Senior BJP leader and former external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha had maintained that his party had not taken any decision on the issue.
There was no derth of leaders in the party and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, party President Rajnath Singh and leader of the oppostion in Lok Sabha L.K.Advani all could be projected as the Prime Ministerial candidate, Mr Sinha commented.
