Haryana attracts Rs 28,000 crore industrial investment

Faridabad, Sep 9 (UNI) The Haryana Government has attracted an industrial investment of Rs 28,000 crore during the last 30 months and an investment of Rs 60,000 crore was also in the pipeline.

Besides, the government has also fixed a target of inviting an investment of Rs two lakh crore in the state, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda revealed while addressing a public meeting at Mujesar village.

Mr Hooda said that government was giving special thrust on the promotion of the industrial infrastructure in the state and model industrial townships were being set up. While referring to the development of Faridabad, he said that earlier it was recognised among the 10 top industrial premises of the country but due to some reasons, it had lost its identity on the industrial map of India.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the lost glory of the the city would be restored and an industrial model township would be developed here on 1832 acres of land and necessary action was being taken. He said that after the construction of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, this area would get a special boost in the development.

He revealed that all the obstacles had been removed in the construction of the elevated highway which would be constructed near Badarpur and the work on this would commence soon.

While referring to the demands put forth by Parliamentary Secretary Ms Sharda Rathore, the Chief Minister announced that a sewerage line would be laid in Mujesar area besides all the streets and drains would be repaired. He also announced for setting up of a dispensary at Mujesar besides all the chaupals of the area would also be repaired on priority basis.

Urban Development and Local Bodies Minister A C Chaudhary said that he would monitor the development schemes launched by the government for the development of Faridabad and efforts would be made to accelerate the pace of development in the area.

Earlier, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of a community centre at Mujesar to be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 lakh on four acres of land. The Chief Minister also paid obeisance at Gurudwara, Sector-15 Faridabad on the occasion 403 "Parkashoutsav" of Guru Granth Sahib.
