A hotelier attempts to kill his elder brother over property dispute

Mumbai, Sep 9 (UNI) A hotelier attempted to kill his elder brother over the property dispute in south Mumbai at their lawyer's office.

Police said here today that victim and accused were having hotel business in the metropolis.

Manohar Jaya Shetty (35) and accused Mohan Jaya Shetty (32), brothers had gone to their lawyer, Ramchandran Narayanan's (35) office last evening situated at 4-Bindar Chamber, fort in south Mumbai to discuss about disputed property.

During the discussion, both the brother quarrelled over the sharing of property. In a fit of anger, Mohan fired three rounds of fire at Manohar from a .32 rpt point three two bore pistol from his possession. Manohar suffered abdominal and leg injuries while Narayanan also suffered right hand injury.

Both the injured were admitted in state government run St George hospital.

Police have arrested Mohan and registered a case of attempt to murder against him.
