100 cars participate in Family Fun Car rally

Chandigarh, Sep 9 (UNI) Haryana Governor A R Kidwai flagged off the 7th Family Fun Car rally from Kalagram today in which about 100 cars are participating.

The fun filled rally, organised by Rashi Entertainment Private Limited in association with Berkeley Automobiles, Modern Automobiles and Chittosho Motors was exclusively for the families of Chandigarh.

The first such Car Rally was organized in 1999 in Delhi. The 5th and 6th Family Fun Car Rally was organised in the cities of Jaipur and Chandigarh also.

The really commenced from the CITCO Baithak, Kalagram and wound its way through the roads of Chandigarh and culminated at Kalagram.

The unique features of the rally is that it maintains secrecy of the final winner till the last participant crosses the finish line.

While allowing a total of four members from a family to participate, the high point of the rally is that it gives the participants an opportunity to pile up scores through randomly picking up points from sealed envelopes available at the marshal boots scattered along the 50 km route.

Mr Rajeev Jain, Managing Director, Rashi Entertainment said that the rally has become a much sought after event for all car lovers in this region. It holds the promise of fun, adventure and excitement all the way till the finishing point.
