Under trial dies of cardiac arrest in Nadiad
Nadiad, Gujarat, Sep 8 (UNI) An under trial arrested in connection with the possession of 'Charas', died last night following a cardiac arrest.
According to the police, the accused Mukesh Vasudev Patel, who was lodged in the Nadiad sub-jail, complained of chest pain to the jail authorities yesterday. He was rushed to the civil hospital, where he later died.
He along with another person was arrested by the Narcotics sleuths near Anand on March 17 this year and ''Charas'' worth over Rs 15 lakh was seized from them.
His accomplice--Rajnikant Patel had also died of cardiac problem on the day of his arrest, the police added.
The body of Patel, a resident of Anand district was handed over to his family members after post-mortem.
