New Delhi, Sept 8 (UNI) A city court today sent the reporter in the fake sting operation, which depicted a government school teacher pushing students into prostitution, in 7-day judicial custody.

The duty magistrate remanded in judicial custody Prakash Singh, the reporter who fabricated the sting, after hearing the charges from the prosecution.

Singh was arrested yesterday by Crime Branch sleuths, a day after the 'victim' Rashmi was arrested.

Working for 'Live India' channel, Prakash Singh had shown Uma Khurana, a mathematics teacher of the Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, in the sting as running a syndicate of prostitution and making pornographic films, featuring her present and former girl students.

The airing of the episode had led to mob violence near Turkman Gate in Central Delhi's Daryaganj area on August 30.

So far, four people have been arrested in the case and all of them are presently in judicial custody.
