Sree Chithira Tirunal award for National Security Advisor

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 8 (UNI) National Security Advisor M K Narayanan has been chosen for this year's Sree Chithira Tirunal award in recognition of his dedicated service to the nation.

Mr Narayanan was selected by a committee headed by Kerala University Vice-Chancellor M K Ramachandran Nair.

The award would carry Rs one lakh, citation and a memento, a release said here.

The award was instituted in memory of Sree Chithira Tirunal Balaramavarma, last ruler of erstwhile princely state of Travancore.

Last year, the award was presented to ISRO Chairman, G Madhavan Nair.
