Park Avenue opens avenues for corp women

Mumbai, Sep 8: Park Avenue, the most respected and largest men's wear brand in the country, today announced the launch of Park Avenue Women, a complete range of business wear for women.

The first Park Avenue Women line was unveiled by Raymond CMD Gautham Hari Singhania at the Park Avenue flagship store at Khar in north-west Mumbai.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr Singhania said, ''With the Indian economy growing at an aggressive pace, Indian women are playing a critical role in building corporate India. We are confident that Park Avenue Women too will achieve a prominent position in its segment much like the other brands in the Raymond stable.'' ''Women's western wear market in India is estimated at Rs 2,700 crore. Park Avenue Women will vie for the Rs 450 crore 'premium' western formal wear market, which is growing at over 20 per cent annually,'' Mr Singhania added.
