Opp demands CBI probe into Gill episode

Hisar, Sept 8 (UNI) The BJP today demanded a CBI probe into the Narwana episode in which Congress MP Atma Singh Gill was allegedly found with two women in suspicious circumstances.

Addressing a press conference, senior BJP leader Ram Bilas Sharma said that BJP would submit a memorandum to the Governor to demand a fair inquiry into the ''misconduct'' of the Sirsa MP.

Activists of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) also staged dharna here to condemn the Narwana scandal and also demanded CBI probe into the ''Gill affair''.

Meanwhile, the opposition Indian National Lok Dal leaders held a demonstration and burnt the effigy of Atma Singh Gill here.

They also demanded his removal from the Lok Sabha.
