Modi visits Dalian port in China, meets city Mayor
Gandhinagar, Sep 8 (UNI) A delegation of Gujarati entrepreneurs, led by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, today visited the mega port of Dalian in China and met city Mayor Gizya Deren on the last day of the three-day summit 'Summer Davos' there.
Mr Deren, in his meeting with Mr Modi, expressed his keen interest in investing in the port development and urban infrastructure development sectors of Gujarat, an official release said.
Praising Gujarat for its fast-track development, Mr Deren told Mr Modi ''Gujarat has emerged as a fast developing Indian state and is held in high esteem among the Asian countries.'' Mr Deren told Mr Modi.
''IT professionals from India have made a big contribution in the development of IT sector in Dalian,'' he said.
Mr Modi invited Mr Deren to float joint ventures between Dalian and Gujarat in setting up of Maritime University and international financial tech city.
UNI
