Miraculous escape for boy from landslide

Itanagar, Sep 8 (UNI) A boy from Chongkham under Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh had a close shave after a landslide hit the Tezu-Hayuliang road at Lal Pani, official reports said here today.

K Mannou of Mankaw village was crossing the road on September five when rocks and debris rolled down over him.

Despite heavy downpour, a rescue team of the Border Road Task Force (BRTF) and Arunachal Police launched search operations and managed to rescue him the next day.

The victim, who suffered multiple injuries, was undergoing treatment at the district hospital, the sources added.
