Kiran Choudhry for two sports tournaments every month

Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) Haryana Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Kiran Choudhry directed all District Sports Officials to hold at least two tournaments every month in their respective districts.

Presiding over a meeting here today,the Sports Minister directed all Deputy Directors, District Sports Officers and Field Officers of the Sports Department to work as a team to bring Haryana at a prominent place on national and international level.

She directed the sports officials to organise atleast one campaign oriented event like 'Run for the Country', 'Ban Plastic', 'Run for Environment' to educate and create awareness for social cause in the young minds.

She urged the officials to provide best facilities and upgrade infrastructure for the sportspersons of the State.

She stressed that it was very important to develop the latent talent in the rural areas and was ready to extend any kind of help to make Haryana a breeding ground for the players.
