'I believe in clean politics:' Mange Ram Gupta

Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) Haryana Education and Transport Minister Mange Ram Gupta today said many of his political rivals did not want him to be a Minister but he was inducted into the State Cabinet by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in view of his ''clean politics and principles.'' Mr Mange Ram Gupta, while speaking at a civic reception hosted in his honour in Jind, said his induction into the cabinet was a proof of his clean political life and an honour to those doing politics of principles.

He said it was not surprising that after being sworn in as Minister recently, former Chief Ministers Bhajan Lal and Om Prakash Chautala were among the first few to congratulate him.

Mr Gupta said he was indebted to Mr Hooda and Mrs Sonia Gandhi for making him a Minister, thus providing him an opportunity to serve the people.
