Shimla, Sep 8 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh co-incharge of the BJP OP Dhankar today asserted that the party was ready to face elections anytime now and was already in mood for the state assembly elections due early next year.

''The BJP is ready to face elections anytime now with the party in election mood,'' he said at a press conference here.

Mr Dhankar said the party's National Executive would meet at Bhopal on September 21, 22 and 23 and prepare its strategy for assembly polls in Himachal and Gujarat where elections were due early next year.

He, however, refused to name anyone who would lead the party in the state in the next assembly elections, saying that its parliamentary board would decide it.

The BJP leader said he would tour all the 68 assembly constituencies in the state in order to prepare booth-wise committees for the coming assembly elections.

''I have already visited all constituencies in Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts of the state in this context.'' Referring to the rise of prices of essential commodities and widespread corruption, he claimed the people of the state were fed up with the present Congress government and would overthrow it in the next assembly elections.
