Eshwarappa demands clarification on Kalasa-Banduri project

Belgaum, sept 8 (UNI) Centre is giving a step motherly treatment to Karnataka in connection with irrigation projects particularly Kalasa-Banduri Nala project, Karnataka Irrigation Minister K S Eshwarappa said today.

He was speaking to newsmen here on his way to inaugurate a Rustumpur and Kabbur lift irrigation projects.

"The Center is not cooperating and we have a complete hope in the Indian judicial system," he added.

He said Goa governement has approached the Supreme Court in the Kalasa Banduri matter and it has asked the Centre to file an affidavit regarding its views on drinking water projects.

But till date the Centre has not filed an affidavit and instead of it has requested for three more weeks time, Mr Eswarappa said.

He said that in case of Andhra Pradesh, it had replied immediately allowing AP to complete its five projects.

He also demanded a clarification by Ms Sonia Gandhi, UPA Chairman on Kalasa Banduri issue.

Mr Eshwarapppa expressed his confidence in power transfer from its coalition partner Janata Dal (S) to BJP and said that Mr B S Yadiyurappa will be the next the Chief Minister of the state.
