Ajit Singh adds voice to Gujjar community's demand

Jaipur, Sept 8 (UNI) Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Ajit Singh today added voice to the Gujjar community's demand to be included in the Sheduled Tribe category, saying the call was fully justified as the condition of the Gujjars was no different from that of the Meenas in the desert state.

Speaking to newsmen here, the Lok Dal leader said the RLD would fully support the Gujjar Arakshan Chetana Rath Yatra by Dr Yashveer Singh from September 10 and exhorted Gujjar leaders to brace for a long battle as the state government was adopting delaying tactics by constituting a committee.

Mr Singh also slammed the policy of SEZ and said the government had no business to act as a middleman in acquiring the land of farmers for big industrialists.
