25 injured as bus hits lorry

Tiruchirapalli, Sep 8 (UNI) Twenty five people, including a Sub-Collector and his wife were injured, when a State Transport Corporation bus, in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Irungalur Kaikatti on Tiruchirapalli-Chennai National Highway near here last night.

The injured, including Sub-Collector Theni Shanmuganathan and his wife Selvarani were admitted to a private hospital and Government Headquarters hospital here, police said.

The bus was proceeding to Tiruchirapalli from Chennai when the mishap occurred, they added.
