Three killed, three injured in road accident in Chamba
Chamba, Sep 7 (UNI) Three people were killed and an equal number injured after Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) jeep fell into a gorge in Pangi Valley of Chamba district last evening, police sources said today.
The jeep, carrying six people, rolled into the gorge in the remote Pre village on the Killar-Edwas last evening, killing three and injuring an equal number of people.
The sources said the driver of the speeding jeep failed to negotiate a sharp curve resulting in the road accident, adding that the injured have been admitted to a local government hospital at Pangi.
Resident Commissioner Jagdev Singh Pathania visited the injured in the hospital and announced an immediate cash relief to them.
The sources said a case has been registered.
