Three killed and three in road accident in Chamba
Chamba, Sep 6 (UNI) Three people were killed and an equal number of people injured after an Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) jeep fell into a gorge in Pangi Valley of Chamba district of the state last evening, police sources said today.
The jeep with six people, on board, rolled into the gorge in the remote Pre village on the Killar-Edwas road in the district last evening, killing three people and injuring an equal number of people.
The sources said driver of the speeding jeep fail to negotiate a sharp curve resulting in the road accident, adding that the injured have been admitted to a local government hospital at Pangi.
Resident Commissioner Jagdev Singh Pathnia visited the injured in the hospital and announced immediate cash relief to them.
The sources said a case has been registered.
