Three children drown in boat capsize in North Bihar
Khagaria, Sept 07 (UNI) Three children, aged between four and six, drowned when their countrymade boat capsized in the flood waters of Kamri village in the district today.
Police said the mishap occurred when the children, including two girls, were sailing a small boat, carrying lunch for their fathers towards the other end of the village, when it suddenly caught in the turbulent current of the flood water and capsized.
Soon a search operation was launched by the local authorities and recovered two bodies, while that of the other was still missing, the sources said.
Incidentally, this north Bihar district is one of the worst affected in this year's unprecedented floods that has so far claimed more than 600 lives in the state.
