Three children drown after boat capsizes in North Bihar

Khagaria, Sep 7 (UNI) Three children, aged between four and six,years drowned when their countrymade boat capsized in the flood waters of Kamri village in the district today.

Police said the incident occurred when the boat, carrying the children, including two girls, got caught in turbulent currents of the flood water and capsized.

The children were carrying lunch for their fathers towards the other end of the village.

Two bodies were recovered in the search operation lauched by local authorities.

Incidentally, this district of north Bihar is one of the worst affected in this year's unprecedented floods in which more than 600 people have lost their lives.
