State's first tourist reception centre in Nagpur
Nagpur, Sep 7 (UNI) Maharashtra Tourism Minister Vijaysinh Mohite-Patil will inaugurate the tourist reception centre, the first in the state, here tomorrow.
Built at a cost of Rs 2.36 crore, the centre is part of the state government's efforts to boost tourism in Vidarbha and promote Nagpur as the gateway for travellers bound for destinations in the region, according to an official press release here.
The facilities at the centre include an office of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), offices of travel companies, memento shops, restaurants, space for bank, a visitors' room, an auditorium, a meeting hall, a dining hall and an exhibition hall besides accommodation for tourists, the press release said.
Two floors of the centre have been constructed, with plans to build three more, it added.
