Security for VVIPs to be stepped up after review: YSR
Hyderabad, Sep 7 (UNI) Expressing shock over the attempt on the life of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy, by naxals, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said security for VVIPs would be stepped up after a thorough review.
Talking to the media here, Dr Reddy said said his government had controlled naxal activities in the state to a very large extent in the last three years. However, they were trying to regroup.
In the wake of the incident, he would hold a review meeting with top police officials and take necessary steps to avoid recurrence of such attacks, he said.
