Sandhu gets 3 year imprisonment in Agrofed scam

Ambala, Sept 7 (UNI) A local court today awarded P S Sandhu three years imprisonment in the multi-crore Agrofed job scam.

Sandhu was accused of defrauding hundreds of unemployed youth by offering posts in a fake firm, in lieu of lakhs of rupees.

The accused had opened offices in the name of Agrofed in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and other neighbouring states and used to cheat the unemployed youth telling them that his firm was registered with the Government and offered the jobs charging lakhs of rupees, according to the prosecution.

UNI
