Rs 169 crore Sonepat bypass soon under NCR planning
Sonepat, Sept 7 (UNI) A new by-pass around the town will soon be constructed at a cost of around Rs 169 crore under the NCR planning board scheme.
''The process for acquisition of land for this by-pass will commence within 2-3 months,'' the newly-inducted Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) in Haryana Ministry, Ramesh Kaushik told reporters here.
The new by-pass will off-take from GT road near Rai and will again merge with GT road near village Kurar via Rathdana, Baiyapur, over sector-23 and Sonepat cooperative sugar mill crossing Sonepat-Narela road, Sonepat-Rohtak highway, Sonepat-Farmana road, Sonepat-Gohana highway, Sonepat-Gohana road via Khanpur Kalan and Sonepat-Gannaur road, he claimed.
Mr Kaushik said that like Bahalgarh-Sonepat road, Sonepat-Murthal road would also be four-laned soon. There was also a scheme to develop a large park near sectors 15-16.
Earlier, addressing a meeting of the District Officers last evening, the CPS said that the Rai region was being developed on the pattern of Gurgaon and as a number of investors had opted to invest in the region, the officers must ensure that the infrastructural facilities like roads, electricity and water were properly maintained.
He also asked them to complete the ongoing projects on time and to redress the public grievances promptly.
He expressed satisfaction over working of the district administration and maintenance of law and order.
