Regional Policy Dialogue of Judges
Chandigarh, Sep 7 (UNI) A two-day 'Regional Policy Dialogue of Judges' on protection of legal and human rights of beneficiary groups outlined in the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 will be organised by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) here beginning tomorrow.
A spokesman for the Haryana Legal Services Authority today said Mr Justice Ashok Bhan, a Supreme Court judge and Executive Chairman of National Legal Services Authority, will address the regional policy dialogue of judges.
He said that Executive Chairmen of State Legal Services Authorities, Chairmen of High Court Legal Services Committees, Directors of State Judicial Academies and Member Secretaries, State Legal Services Authorities of of Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi and Union Territory of Chandigarh would participate in this regional policy dialogue.
He said Mr Justice Arijit Pasayat, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Chairman, Supreme Court, Legal Services Committee would also participate in the dialogue.
Mr Justice Vijender Jain, Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Patron-in-Chief of Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh Legal Services Authority would also attend the function.
