Pistol, bullets seized from arrested businessman's house
Chennai, Sep 7 (UNI) Police have seized a pistol and about a dozen bullets from the house of a businessman, who was detained under the Goondas Act recently.
The pistol was found when the police searched his house in Red Hills area last night.
The businessman was arrested and detained under the Goondas Act after he opened fire at a bus crew when they reportedly did not make way for his car in the Red Hills market area a few days ago.
Police said they raided the house on suspicion that weapons could be hidden there.
A pistol and four bullets were also recovered from the house of a neighbour after he was arrested and remanded for smuggling banned narcotic drugs.
Police searched at least 14 locations in the area while investigating these cases.
