Office of profit Joint Committee's term extended
New Delhi, Sep 7 (UNI) The Joint Parliamentary Committee looking into the constitutional and legal aspects of the Office of Profit will submit its report in the Winter Session of Parliament.
Mr Madhusudan Mistry of the Congress, a member of the JPC, today moved a resolution in the Lok Sabha proposing the extension of the term of the Committee which was adopted by a voice vote.
The Committee was to submit its report by the end of the current session. The term has now been extended upto the winter session of Parliament.
Amid an uproar by the Opposition parties over the nuclear issue, Mr Mistry moved the resolution which was passed by a voice vote.
