MROs confirm 'assigned land' in RFC
Hyderabad, Sep 7 (UNI) Disputing the Ramoji Film City's (RFC) claims that their property comprised no ''assigned land'', the Mandal Revenue Officers (MROs) of Hayatnagar and Ibrahimpatnam today maintained that 4.25 acres of land in survey No 301 and 14.30 acres in survey No 189, both belonging to RFC, were ''assigned land''.
Talking to newspersons here, MRO T K Ramamani said the revenue authorities had served notice to the RFC management long back and had conducted the survey yesterday before demolishing the structures for taking back the land under Protection of Transfer of Assigned Land Act.
The Government had already taken 32 acres of land in survey No 281 and four acres of assigned land in survey No 275 under the Act, she said.
Asked whether the authorities would stop the demolition following the High Court order, she said they had not received any orders so far.
They would continue with the demolition as per the rules.
Ibrahimpatnam mandal MRO N Devadas, who is supervising the demolition of some parts of structures in survey No 189 in Naganapalli village, said the 14.30 acres of land were ''assigned land''.
The Survey and Land Records Assistant Director had surveyed the land thoroughly and confirmed that some portion of the the land was ''assigned land,'' he added.
