Hyderabad, Sep 7 (UNI) The Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the August 25 twin blasts that rocked the city, today said police have arrested three of Shaik Abdul Kaleem's friends, who confessed that he supplied RDX to the bomb planters for triggering blasts at Mecca Masjid on May 18, which claimed six lives.

Kaleem, one of the suspects in the twin blasts, was arrested in the city in connection with his alleged links with Harkat Ul Jihadi Islami (HUJI). He had conspired to trigger more blasts after the twin blasts, top sources in SIT said.

SIT police had arrested Syed Imran, Mohammed Fasiuddin and Mohammed Sujaduddin based on Kaleem's information. They were being interrogated to ascertain their role in the blasts.

The sources said Kaleem, who underwent narco analysis test in Bangalore on September five in connection with his alleged involvement in the Mecca and twin blasts, had given vital information with regard to the incidents.

''The RDX package was given to Kaleem by his elder brother Shaik Abdul Khadar, alias Shafi, in the first week of May. Khadar is believed to be living in Dubai,'' the sources said.

They said Kaleem also revealed the involvement of his two elder brothers Mohammed Khaja and Khadar in the terrorist activities in the city with the help of HUJI leader Shahed alais Bilal.

On September five, SIT police had arrested ten people, suspected to have links with terrorist organisations and who provided assistance to the bomb planters.
