Indo-Pak bi-annual meet at Lahore from tommorow

Jalandhar, Sep 7 (UNI) With a view to strengthen better coordination and understanding, the four-day bi-annual meeting between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Pakistan Rangers will be held in Lahore from tomorrow.

BSF DIG S A Khader said today the high-powered BSF delegation would be headed by Additional Director General (West) G S Gill. The delegation would comprise some other senior BSF forces besides officials from the Survey of India, Narcotics Control Bureau and the PWD, he added.

''This is the highest ever contact between the two border guarding forces to generate peace and tranquility on the International Border,''DIG Khader said.

Mr Khader said issues relating to drugs smuggling, inadvertent crossing of civilians, status of border pillars, construction activities in forward areas, cases of nationals lanquishing in jails in both the countries and other border-specific issues would figure in the meeting.
