HC stays suspension of fair price shop

Allahabad, Sep 7 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court (HC) has stayed the suspension of a fair price shop, which was passed by the Ballia Sub Division Megistrate (SDM) on dictates of the Minister for Woman Welfare, Uttar Pradesh government.

The order was passed by a division bench comprising Justices V M Sahai and Rakesh Sharma on a writ petition filed by Keshav Yadav of Ballia.

The licence of the petitioner's fair price shop was suspended on August seven by the SDM on dictates of the minister.

The HC directed the respondents to file a counter affidavit on October 29, the next date of hearing.
