Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations to be held at Malliyoor temple

Kottayam, Sep 7 (UNI) Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations will be held at the famed Malliyoor Sree Mahaganapathi Temple with various programmes from September nine to 15.

Ashtadravia Mahaganapathi Homam, Sahasrakalasabhishekam, Gajapooja, Mahaprasadamoottu would be the main programmes, temple authorities said at a news conference here today.

1,008 coconuts would be used for the Mahaganapathi Homam.

Playback singer G Venugopal would stage a music concert on the inaugural day and Manjari on the Ganesh Chathurthi day on September 15.

KSRTC would operate special service from Vaikom, Kottayam and Pala depots, they said.
