Deceased girl's body found exhumed in graveyard

Surat, Sep 7 (UNI) The body of a girl, who had died yesterday and was buried, was found exhumed here today.

The girl, although a Hindu, had been buried according to the customs of her community.

When the family members reached the graveyard today to perform some religious rituals, they found that the body had been exhumed.

The hands of the girl were cut from the wrists.

Umra graveyard trustee member Kishore Umrigar has denied responsibility for the incident.

The police, which registered the case after the intervention of Deputy Commissioner of Police Subhash Trivedi, has taken the body under their custody.

UNI
