Churchill Bros rally to beat Salgaocar 4-1

Ludhiana, Sept 7 (UNI) Down by a goal Churchil Brothers displayed solidarity among themselves to demolish the challenge of Salgaocar Sports Club by 4-1 in a one-sided pre-quarter-final encounter in the 29th Hero Cycles Federation Cup Football at the floodlit Guru Nanak Stadium here tonight.

It was Salgaocar SC which drew the first blood in the 14th minute.

Churchill Brothers while trying to pass the ball to his colleague, the ball travelled to Bana Thunde Badmus.

Stunned by the reverse, Churchil Brothers reorganised their game and it was Stephen N Mbanyam who turned the table on Salgaocar by contributing a brace. He first restored parity in the 34th minutre when he headed a pass from Robert Lalthamla. Stephen N Mbanyam also made his team's victory an impressive one when he booted home the fourth goal for Brothers in the 86th minute.

In between Odafe Onyeka Okolie (48th) and Robert Lalthamla (56th) contributed one goal each for Churchil Brothers.
