AP Governor offers worship at Tirumala
Tirumala, Sep 6(UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor N D Tiwari offered worship to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala temple here today.
Mr Tiwari, who arrived on his two-day visit to Tirupati and Tirumala at Renigunta Airport from Hyderabad this evening, laid foundation stone for the engineering college hostel of Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visvavidyalayam(SPMVV) in Tirupati and motored to tirumala where he was received by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) Trust Board Chairman B Karunakara Reddy, TTD Executive officer, K V Ramanachary at the temple.
Mr Reddy presented prasadam and portrait of Lord to the Governor. The temple priests also welcomed Mr Tiwari with vedic hymns.
Later, the Governor motored down to Tirupati, for an overnight stay at TTD Padmavathi Guest House.
Tomorrow, before leaving for Hyderabad he would attend the 49th Convocation of Sri Venkateswara University(SVU) after offering worship to Goddess Padmavathi at Tiruchanoor near Tirupati.
